Degree (For student cohort/intake BEFORE January 2022)
- The Ministry of Higher Education requires that all students pursuing Degree course (International and Malaysian) enrolled in September 2013 and onwards must take the MPU units as a prerequisite for the award of their degree. Students enrolled in Foundation, Master’s and PhD are not required to undertake MPU units.

- The Private Higher Education Institution Act 1996 (Act 555) specifies that every private higher education institution offers the General Studies/Mata Pelajaran Umum (MPU) compulsory subjects. In compliance with Section 43(3) Act 555, these units are mandatory for both international and Malaysian students to graduate.
