Evelyn Gan serves as the Manager & Privacy Officer in the Policy, Planning and Quality Unit (PPQ) at Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus. She and her team work closely with all units across the university in managing the university’s self-accreditation status, accreditation exercises, policy documents, SETARA, university strategic planning and compliance with regulatory bodies, including MoHE, MQA and the Department of Personal Data Protection.
Evelyn holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and Master of Business (Research) from Swinburne. She is an MQA Certified Quality Assurance Officer (first graduating cohort in 2022). She is also a full member of CPA Australia and a Competent Communicator (CC) from Toastmasters International.
In recognition of her contributions to the university’s quality assurance ecosystem, she was a member of the winning team for the inaugural Swinburne Sarawak Impact Award 2021, and was named as Highly Commended Nominee for Swinburne Melbourne’s Vice-Chancellor’s One Swinburne Team Award in 2021. This year, her team won the Swinburne Sarawak Impact Award 2022 in recognition of their innovative methods of preparing all stakeholders for the university’s institutional self-accreditation audit.
