Student Webmail service transition to Office 365 for education has begun on 13th June 2013.
Office 365 account
- Account to be used as official university-related email and collaboration, with mailbox to 25 GB per user.
- Login to Office 365 account at https://mail.office365.com using the same username and password
- Username: Your student email address
StudentID@students.swinburne.edu.my
Eg. : 4337237@students.swinburne.edu.my - Password: The default password for first time login is “SUTS@yyyymmdd”. Please enter your date of birth for YYYYMMDD.
- Student will be prompted to change their password during their first login.
- Username: Your student email address
- Having problem with password? Contact Service Desk at +6082-255000.
Personal Microsoft account
- Provide access to your existing OneDrive account.
- Login to your OneDrive at https://onedrive.live.com/ using the same username and password
- The university will no longer provide any support or creating Personal Microsoft Account for students.

What policies or terms and conditions apply to the use of Office 365 in Swinburne University of Technology?
Students using the Office 365 Service, i.e. Outlook Live email and calendar function are subject to Swinburne’s policy and procedures, terms and conditions, privacy policies and acceptable use policies.
Swinburne’s Information Technology Services is no longer responsible for backing up student e-mail or files and other content stored in the Office 365 services. Information Technology Services will protect passwords in accordance with the IT Security Policy.
While Microsoft retains all rights to its services and deployment tools, the University retains all rights to all content, technology, materials and services delivered or forwarded to Microsoft under the Office 365 agreement.

As a side note, students will be required to accept Microsoft’s terms and conditions and privacy policy before they can use Office 365 services provided.
