The Swinburne Sarawak Postgraduate Research society (PGRS) organised a session entitled, “Let’s shine a light on mental health”, with speakers representing the university: senior counsellor Evelyn Liew, and Associate Professor Ida Fatimawati bt Adi Badiozaman, Head of the School of Design and Arts.

Following an annual general meeting on 3 February, for 2021 the Postgraduate Research Society (PGRS) is now led by President Jasman Chai Yi Hao, Vice-President Alfred Tan Jia Yee, Secretary Jonathan Cheng Lin Yang, Vice-Secretary Ally Lee, and Treasurer Liza Melia Anak Terry.

Swinburne Sarawak was awarded self-accrediting status by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) in 2010. This releases the university from having to apply to MQA for the accreditation of non-professional courses delivered in Malaysia. As part of the continuous quality improvement and requirement by MQA, three fully accredited courses underwent a compliance audit exercise.
